The Hive Theatre Festival is the largest children’s festival in the world.
It is a festival for the children by the children! It is spread across two months where around 500 children perform in 52 varied performances of 5 plays.
‘Matilda’ is a play about Matilda Wormwood, a young genius neglected by her shallow parents is sent to a school terrorized by the tyrannical Headmistress/Headmaster Trunchbull. Meanwhile her teacher Mr/Ms Honey, recognizes Matilda's intellect and inspires Matilda to use her wit and brains.
