Sensory Moments – Sakura

Train your eye to tell cherry (also known as sakura) from peach (momo) blossoms, at a glance!

Examine the petals, the silhouette of each tree and the way the flowers sit on the branch. Notice how ornamental momo often carries a sweeter fragrance, while sakura offers a lighter, more restrained scent. Learn about the precise technique of grafting that preserves each carefully-cultivated plant's signature flowers and form.
