This September, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra returns to Jurong Lake Gardens for Music Oasis, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival in a picturesque lakeside setting.
Under the baton of associate conductor Lien Boon Hua and in collaboration with Mediacorp, SCO presents a special evening featuring beloved local artistes Bonnie Loo, Gao Mei Gui and Desmond Ng. Together with the orchestra, they will perform familiar favourites including Restart, Brewing Tea Under the Moon, Grandma’s Words, alongside a selection of Chinese orchestral classics and festive repertoire that captures the warmth, nostalgia and joy of the season. Audiences can also look forward to the world premiere of a new work by Singaporean composer Germaine Goh, inspired by the timeless charm of the Chinese Garden.
Bring along your picnic mat or foldable chair, gather your family and friends, and settle in on the lush green lawns for a memorable evening under the moonlight. Surrounded by nature and beautiful lakeside views, experience an enchanting celebration where music, culture and community come together.
